Expected Freight
Add expected freight costs to transfer orders for accurate cost of goods sold from day one — automatically reversed when the actual freight invoice is posted.
Features
- •Add expected freight cost to transfer order
- •Reverse Expected Freight with actual freight cost
Description
When goods move through transfer orders, the actual freight cost often arrives later as a vendor invoice — long after the transfer has been posted. Without a way to account for this upfront, your cost of goods sold is understated until the freight invoice arrives, making it harder to get an accurate picture of margin in the meantime.
Expected Freight solves this by allowing you to add an expected freight cost directly to the transfer order. The expected cost is included in the cost of goods sold immediately, giving you an accurate margin picture from the start. When the actual freight invoice arrives and is posted, the expected cost is automatically reversed and replaced with the real figure — keeping your accounts clean and accurate without any manual adjustments.
