Description

Standard Business Central reservations are rigid by design. They lock to specific lot numbers and locations, block changes to orders and require significant manual effort to maintain. For businesses with active order books and changing supply, they create more friction than they solve.

Order Allocation takes a completely different approach. It is a fully automated reservation system that allocates inventory and incoming supply to sales orders without the constraints of standard reservations. No manual reservation management, no locks on lot numbers or locations, no blocked order changes — just a flexible, automated system that continuously matches supply to demand according to your priorities.

Both available stock and incoming goods — from purchase orders and transfer orders — are included in the allocation, giving you a complete picture of what can be promised and when. Projected delivery dates are calculated for each sales order based on the allocated supply, giving you early visibility into orders at risk of being late — with enough time to act before the customer is affected.
