Description

Sales Types gives you a structured way to handle the sales scenarios that don't fit neatly into a standard sales order — samples, try-and-buy arrangements, gifts, spare parts, loan products, marketing materials and trial products all have different pricing rules, cost implications and posting requirements. Without a proper framework, these are typically handled through workarounds that are hard to track and easy to get wrong.

With Sales Types, you define each scenario once through setup — controlling the price, the posting accounts and the process rules. When a user selects a Sales Type on a sales document, the app takes care of the rest. The right price is applied, costs are posted to the correct accounts, and the transaction is handled consistently every time regardless of who is processing it.

Reporting and follow-up are built in, so you can track activity across all your sales type scenarios — how much you are giving away in samples, the value of products out on trial, or the volume of spare parts being sold — and make informed decisions based on real data.
